If time were only part of the equation, and you could draw the boundries of our cage. You wouldn't pile another stone upon me.. and I'd have been happy just to watch you age. But everything is in its own dominion. And wading in the shallows as I do, apeases as water slowly, trickles out. But it isn't nearly fast enough for you. Isn't really fast enough for you. It's what I was afraid of, I stumbled into view, but it isn't nearly fast enough for you.- TA. I love you dad~ So many questions, I will never have answered. But I will remember your love, your voice, laughter, kindness, and humble ways. Boating with Kaye and Buddy, trips to Louisville, Uncle Donnie going back and retrieving my stuffed Samuel dog. You were so very good to my sister and I, as were all the Oberst. I was just a little girl caught in the middle. Never a day has gone by you haven't crossed my mind. May you be at peace now~

My husband and I send our condolences , I am just finding out of his passing. Greg always had a kind word for me when we worked together on the Hagerstown FedEx, we kept in touch every few months, time was up and we hadnt heard from him, I am truly heartbroken, I had spoken to him only a week or so before. He will be missed greatly.

Rosie,
Death is never easy to deal with however know that you are surrounded by friends & family to help you during this time. Greg was a great man on Earth but now he's one of the coolest cowboys in Heaven. I've attached one of my most favorite poems that I think you will enjoy during this tough time.
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from anguish,
sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints,
so I said to the Lord,
“ You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there has only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied,
“ The years when you have seen only one set of footprints,
my child, is when I carried you.”

We are so saddened by the loss of such a dear friend. Brian worked with Greg for many years at HK. Our family often traveled together and as a result we all got to know Greg. He was always so warm and loving to both of our girls and they were very fond of him as well, especially Carson. He always greeted me and the girls with a hug and a big smile. We really considered him an extension of our family and he will be dearly missed. Love and lots of hugs to Rosie and all family and friends. We love you.

Sorry to hear about Greg. I met him about 1978. We were building a new home in Ohio Co.in Ky. He pulled in the drive and said I want to wire your house. We talked and found out we knew alot of the same people. I graduated from Owensboro Catholic High too, in 1968. He got the job and did a fine job at that. He was a great guy. Lost touch with him after that. You have my deepest sympathy.
